Monica Bellucci decided to start modeling in order to help pay for her tuition while at the University of Perugia. She wanted to be a lawyer. But the glamorous model life, tempted her away from her law studies. She moved to Milan, one of Europe's fashion centers, in 1988. By 1989, Monica Belluci was a big hit, both in Paris and New York. But Monica wanted more and began taking acting classes. In 1990, she made her film debut with roles in Vita coi figli and Briganti (Bandits: Love and Liberty).
