Kim Cattrall was born Liverpool, England but her family moved to Vancouver, Canada when she was 3 month old. At the age 11, Kim was accepted to the Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in London. At the age of 16, she returned to Canada where she finished high school. After that she won a scholarship to New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
It was during the 80's she became known to the entertainment world, getting roles in films such as Police Academy (1984) and Big Trouble in Little China (1986). In late 90's, Kim Cattrall starred in HBO's smash hit Sex and the City, as the the sexy public relations exec Samantha Jones. In 2003, she won "Best Supporting Actress" Golden Globe for her role as Samantha Jones. Kim can also be seen in Crossroads (2002), starring singer Britney Spears, and in Ice Princess (2005).
