Jennifer Garner grew up in Charleston, West Virginia, and as a child, she took ballerina lessons, practicing for up to six hours a day. After graduating from George Washington High School in Charleston, she enrolled in a theater program at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Jennifer graduated from Denison in 1994 and after that she moved to New York. Within a month of her arrival in th Big Apple, she landed an understudy role in a Broadway production of A Month in the Country.Next, Jennifer moved to Los Angeles where she soon made her screen debut in the made-for-television movie Zoya. She guest starred on the TV shows Spin City and Law and Order. Jennifer also appeared in films, including Deconstructing Harry and In Harm's Way. In 1998, Jennifer Garner was cast in a leading role on the Fox drama series, Significant Others. Due to poor ratings, the drama series was pulled off the air after only one month.
Jennifer Garner auditioned for a role on the series Felicity and got the job. She played the role of Noel Crane's meddling ex-girlfriend Hannah. It was on the set of Felicity that Jennifer's relationship with actor Scott Foley began. Jennifer Garner and Scott Foley married on October 19, 2000, but separated in April 2003. Jennifer Garner appeared in the role of Nurse Sandra in the film, Pearl Harbor, co-starring Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale. She can also be seen in the comedy Dude, Where's My Car?, as Ashton Kutcher's girlfriend. In 2000, Jennifer Garner was approached by the Felicity producer J.J. Ben proposed to Jennifer at her 33:rd birthday in 2005. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck got married 29 June, 2005, at the Parrot Cay Resort in the Carribean Islands of Turks and Caicos. It was a small and private wedding. Jennifer gave birth to a baby girl, Violet, on December 1, 2005. It is their first child.
