Holly Marie Combs Great Actress was born in December 1973, in California, USA. Her mother was 15 year old and her father 17 year old when Holly Marie was born. Her parents quit school to get married, only to divorce two years later. When Holly Marie was little and tried to learn how to walk, she fell and hit her head on a marmer table. That's why she has a scar over the eyebrow.When Holly Marie Combs was 8, she moved to New York City with her mother, who wanted to be an actress and a singer. Soon Holly Marie appeared in different newspaper and television ads. Her new stepfather moved into their cramped studio apartment when Holly Marie was 12.
Holly Marie Coms gained her Screen Actors Guild card for a small part in Walls of Glass (1985), which also featured her mother. In 1988, she got the role as the on-screen daughter of Don Johnson and Susan Sarandon in Sweet Hearts Dance. She also got a part in Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July, co-starring Tom Cruise. But Holly Marie's big breakthrough was her role as Kimberly Brock on CBS's Picket Fences (1992 to 1996). Producer David E. Kelley, the man who produced Ally McBeal and The Practice, told Holly Marie that she did not have "a big enough heart" to play the part of Kimberly. Holly Marie replied, "if you're looking for someone with a big heart, what the hell are you doing in New York?". Two weeks later, she got the job.
Her role as Kimberly Brock in Picket Fences, made Holly Marie Combs win a Young Actors Award for Best Young Actress in a New Television Series in 1993. Between 1992 and 1996, she appeared in films including Simple Men, Dr. Giggles, Chain of Desire and A Reason to Believe. In 1993, Holly Marie Combs met actor Bryan Smith, and the couple started dating. After a short while the two eloped and got married in Las Vegas. The marriage lasted four years, and they divorced in 1997. And on 14 February 2004, Holly Marie married longtime boyfriend David Donoho, a crew member on WB's show Charmed. Together the couple have a son, Finley Arthur Donoho, born 26 April 2004.
It was Holly Maries best friend, actress Shannen Doherty, who brought her to the new TV series Charmed, in 1998. The show has also inspired her to expand her talents beyond acting, as she signed on as producer in 2002. Holly Marie Combs has become an active supporter of Thursday's Child, a charity for teenage runaways, and a spokesperson for breast cancer awareness. She likes Italian food, her favorite color is blue and she loves animals. She has three tattoos, one on each wrist and one on her shoulder.
