Elsa Benitez started her modeling career in 1995, after winning a model search in Costa Rica. Her childhood was supermodel Linda Evangelista. modeling jobs started pouring in. First in Mexico then in the United States and Europe. In 1996 she could be seen on the cover of Vogue Italy three times (April, August and September). Elsa Benitez signed with Elite Model Management, and appeared on the covers of many top fashion magazines, including Vogue, Elle, Mademoiselle, and Marie Claire. She was also the cover girl for Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition in 2001.
Elsa has also done advertising for Dolce & Gabbana, Macy's, Episode, J.Crew, Oscar de la Renta, Rena Lange, Nine West and Valentino. Elsa appeared in the 1999 Pirelli Calendar that featured Women Through the Decades. In the issue she was representing the groovy '70s. Elsa Benitez is married to former NBA player Rony Seikaly. She has been taking acting lessons and she hopes to work in both Spanish and English films.
