Claudia Schiffer was born in Dusseldorf, Germany, and she was one of the original supermodels of the early 1990s. Modeling agent, Michel Levaton, spotted Claudia Schiffer, in October 1987, one night when she and her girlfriends where out clubing. She then flew to Paris for her first test shoot and indubitably, a star was born. Claudia's real breake came from the popular cover shot for Elle magazine. In 1989, she was selected to be the new Guess? girl. During the time she was satisfying her Guess? ad campaign duties, Claudia Schiffer managed to appear on five magazine covers in the United States and seven in Europe.
She has appeared on over five hundred magazine covers with the long, flowing blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, and her annual calendar is always one of the hottest selling items around. She has been on shows such as Larry King Live, The Tonight Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
